I’m a chief officer with my volunteer fire department, and work fulltime as a firefighter/EMT. I graduated from the University of Hartford, in 2013, with a BA in US History, which is where I was inspired to write Local Yokels. The idea to write this book came after taking an American Literature class where we read “The French Revolution,” by Matt Stewart. I’m a Marine Corps veteran, service from 2005-2009. I deployed twice with 2D Battalion 2D Marines (Warlords) in support of the War on Terrorism and Operation Iraqi Freedom
